Home Town: Shropshire
Born and raised with strong rural roots.

Developed a dual passion for agriculture and rugby, becoming a standout player for Ludlow Rugby Club during his youth.

Attended Harper Adams University, a prestigious agricultural institution, where he further honed his skills in farm management and agricultural contracting.

Traveled to New Zealand, working as a sheep shearer and agricultural contractor. This experience shaped his professional expertise and his "work hard, play hard" mentality.

Established himself as a highly respected independent agricultural contractor in Shropshire. He was known for his incredible work ethic and his skill as a sheep shearer, often traveling across the county to support local farms during the busy seasons.

Joined Bridgnorth Rugby Club, playing for the "Bulls." His 6ft 4in frame made him a natural force in the pack, but his kind nature earned him the "gentle giant" moniker from teammates.

Became a core member of the Bridgnorth senior squad, known for his reliability and his ability to uplift the team's spirits regardless of the scoreline.

Tragically passed away at the age of 26 following a road traffic accident on the B4368 at Diddlebury.

His funeral featured a remarkable procession of over 100 tractors, which traveled from Bridgnorth to Telford. This was a massive public display of respect from the regional farming community.

A memorial match was held at Bridgnorth RFC, drawing over 500 people and serving as the catalyst for a permanent tribute.

The inaugural "Will Rogers Rugby Day" was held at Bridgnorth RFC. The event featured a "Will Rogers XV" taking on a Bridgnorth select side.

The annual event grew significantly, becoming a cornerstone of the local calendar. It has raised thousands of pounds for Tough Enough To Care, a charity focused on male mental health in male-dominated industries like farming and rugby.

The community marked the third anniversary of the event, with Will's mother, Mandy Oliver, emphasizing how the day has helped young men in the community feel comfortable speaking about their mental health struggles.
