Home Town: Gloucester

A dedicated quantity surveyor and proud "Cherry and White" who lived for the camaraderie of the game, following his team through every high and low with unwavering loyalty.

Malcolm Reeves was a Quantity Surveyor, much loved family man, and a lifelong supporter of Gloucester Rugby.

Malcolm was born and raised in Gloucester living across the road from the Oval Cricket Ground.

Malcolm attended Calton Road Primary School and continued his studies at Crypt Grammar School Gloucester. He could still remember the Crypt School song after all these years.

At 15 he played rugby for Gloucester Colts and even reached final trials for England Rugby. After leaving school Malcolm played for the local rugby sides Old Cryptians and Gordon League.

Malcolm used to be a stalwart and faithful supporter of Gloucester rugby following them all round the country – Through all the good times and the bad. He was always so proud of what it meant to be a Gloucester Fan and what that stood for. He loved talking to opposition fans and the banter that came with it.

As well as being an avid Gloucester Rugby supporter from a young age Malcolm also enjoyed watching England Rugby. Malcolm also travelled to several Rugby World Cup matches over the years.

Malcolms love for sport also included Cricket, Snooker and Tennis. He was a good wicket keeper and opening batsman.

Malcolm married Diane on the 9th June 1973 at St James Church Gloucester.  The couple moved to the West Midlands in 1974 and built a family of their own.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, son Nick, daughter Laura, daughter in law Tee and Grandsons Jack & Harry.

In his retirement, Malcolm enjoyed many holidays in the sun and spending time with his grandchildren.
