What is a tribute page?

A tribute page is a web page that tells the story of a person’s life who has passed away, in text, images, audio and videos. It’s a place where friends and family can say nice things or add fond memories or tell stories and remember the good things about someone’s life. It is where they pay tribute to the deceased person and their life. It’s a legacy for the successors of that person to be able to read and enjoy for generations to come. Our tribute pages sit on the Gloucester club website and on the Foundation website.

What do I do if I have a technical problem?

The tribute pages have been designed to be very simple so that everyone can use them but if you have a technical problem simply contact us through the contact us page and we’ll create a ticket to fix your problem within 48 hours.

How much does a tribute page cost?

Tribute pages cost £4 or less than a coffee per month.

What happens if two of us have created page for the same person?

It is easy to avoid this by searching for the deceased fan’s name first to see if someone has already created a profile for them. If there are two profiles then talk to the other person and one of you can delete their profile. Tribute pages can have more than one page manager.

Where will the remembrance trees be planted?

There are 50 existing trees at our Gloucester Community Training Ground and we will be planting other trees once those 50 are Memoralised.

I am a living supporter, can I create a draft Tribute Page for myself so that I can be remembered how I would wish to be?

Yes you can create a draft Tribute Page when you create a tribute page and you can add other family members or friends as Administrators.

Can I arrange for a funeral reception or a remembrance lunch at the Club?

Yes you can please contact us via the contact us form and we can help you.

Where will the name of my loved one be placed for Boot Aid?

Their name will be on the side of the rugby boots and on the top of the shoe box.

How long does it take for a name to appear on the Shed Head Memorial Wall?

This is usually done every month to 6 weeks.

Can I leave money in my will to the Gloucester Rugby Foundation or to the Club?

Yes you can. Simply contact us via the contact us page and we will gratefully provide you with the relevant form to share with your lawyer.

How long will my Tribute page last for?

Tribute pages are rolling and last for as long as you make a £4 donation per month per Tribute page.

Can I receive a discount if I want to remember multiple family members?

No sorry each Tribute page is seperate.

How long will the plaque remain in place?

Each plaque is guaranteed for seven years. As the plaques are protected from direct weather and sunlight, many remain in good condition beyond this period. We review plaques after seven years and contact families if renewal or replacement is required. No plaque is ever removed without consultation.

Will I find out who my boots get donated to?

Yes the recipients usually send a thank you letter to the donor of their boots via the Foundation. Sometimes children or parents are embarrassed about needing help and don’t want to be identified as requiring help or charity and if this happens we respect their wishes and the CEO of the Foundation sends you a thank you letter and describes the profile of the person or family in the community who received the boots whilst keeping them anonymised.

What happens if I stop donating to the Foundation?

Without donations we cannot afford to pay for the web hosting, customer support, web development, ecommerce, digital marketing, bookkeeping, postage etc If your donations stop you get two reminder emails and two Whatsapp messages before your Tribute Page is automatically deleted. You will have to start from scratch if you want another Tribute Page.

Can I visit the Shed Heads Memorial Wall on non-match days?

You can visit the wall when you attend matches or events at Kingsholm Stadium that are open to the public or to ticket holders. Sadly we just don’t have the staff resources to accompany guests to the wall on days when the stadium is not open to the public.

How long does the plaque last?

Each plaque is guaranteed for seven years. Because the wall is sheltered, plaques may remain in place beyond this period if they remain in good condition.

Will the plaque be removed after seven years?

No. Plaques are reviewed after seven years. Families are contacted if renewal, replacement, or retirement is required. No plaque is removed automatically.

Why don’t you describe the plaques as “permanent”?

We believe honesty matters. Outdoor memorials naturally age, so we clearly explain how long plaques are guaranteed and how they are cared for over time.

Can plaques remain longer than seven years?

Yes. Where plaques remain in good condition, they may stay in place beyond the initial seven-year period.

Please let us know if you had a question that we did not address on the website.
